Colômbia

A Fé Bahá'í na Colômbia se iniciou com as referências na literatura Bahá'í sobre o país em 1916 [1], com a visita dos bahá'ís em 1927. [2] O primeiro colombiano se declarou um bahá'í, em 1929 [3] e a primeira Assembleia Espiritual Local Bahá'í foi eleita, em Bogotá, em 1944 [4], com o início da chegada dos pioneiros coordenados dos Estados Unidos e atingiu um independente Assembleia Espiritual Nacional em 1961. [5] Em 1963, havia onze assembleias locais .[6] Na década de 1980 as instituições que foram desenvolvidas na Colômbia, influenciaram as atividades dentro e independente da religião em outros países: FUNDAEC [7][8] e o Instituto Ruhi. [9] A Associação dos Arquivos de Dados Religião (confiando principalmente na Enciclopédia Cristã Mundial) estima cerca de 68 mil bahá'ís (0,2% da população) em 2005 [10].
