República Democrática do Congo
A Fé Bahá'í na República Democrática do Congo iniciou depois de `Abdu'l-Bahá ter escrevido cartas de incentivo, tendo a religião a sido estabelecido na África em 1916 .[1]. O primeiro bahá'í a se instalar no país veio em 1953 depois de ter residido em Uganda. [2] A primeira Assembleia Espiritual Local do país foi eleita em 1957. Em 1963 já havia 143 assembleias locais no Congo. [3] Mesmo a religião tendo sido proibida, [4] e o país devastado por guerras, a religião cresceu tanto que em 2003 havia cerca de 541 assembleias. [2] A Associação da Religião do Arquivos de Dados (com base sobretudo na Enciclopédia Mundial Cristã) estima cerca de 252 mil bahá'ís em 2005 [5].
